The DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter weighs just 11 grams and measures 28.58 x 28.04 x 13.52 mm, making it one of the smallest 2.4 GHz wireless microphone transmitters available. Despite its size, it captures audio at 48 kHz/24-bit with an omnidirectional polar pattern, a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and a maximum SPL of 120 dB, giving clean, detailed speech recording whether you clip it to a collar or attach it magnetically to fabric.

Useful audio controls built in:

Three voice tone presets - Regular, Rich, and Bright - let you shape your sound on the transmitter itself without post-processing. Two-level active noise cancelling (Basic and Strong) reduces background noise in indoor and outdoor environments, while five-level gain adjustment and automatic limiting help prevent clipped audio when sound levels suddenly rise. Via the DJI Mimo app, you can also enable dual-track recording with a -6 dB safety track for added protection.

Long battery life with fast charging:

The transmitter holds a 114 mAh built-in battery rated for up to 11.5 hours of continuous use, and the receiver runs for up to 10.5 hours on its 170 mAh built-in battery. Five minutes of charging provides approximately one additional hour of use. Note: the transmitter has no USB-C port of its own and charges only inside a compatible charging case, which is not included in this 1 TX + 1 RX bundle - the DJI Mic Mini Charging Case is available separately.

Wide compatibility across cameras and smartphones:

The standard camera receiver connects to DSLR and mirrorless cameras via a 3.5 mm audio cable and to smartphones via USB-C or Lightning adapters. DJI's OsmoAudio Direct Connection technology also allows the Mic Mini 2 transmitter to pair wirelessly at 48 kHz/24-bit with compatible Osmo cameras - including the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6 - without needing a receiver unit at all. The Mic Mini 2 transmitter is also backwards compatible with the original DJI Mic Mini Receiver.

Interchangeable magnetic covers included:

The transmitter ships with two magnetic front covers - Obsidian Black and Glaze White - so you can match the microphone to your outfit or shooting environment. The magnetic clip and separate magnet attachment mean you can fix the transmitter to fabric without using the clip, reducing visible bulk on camera. Additional multi-colour cover sets are available as optional accessories.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the DJI Mimo app before first use to access dual-track recording, noise cancellation settings, gain control, and voice tone presets. Pair the transmitter and receiver by powering both on - they link automatically. Connect the receiver to your camera or smartphone using the appropriate cable for your device.

Charging the transmitter:

The transmitter charges exclusively via the DJI Mic Mini Charging Case (sold separately) - it has no USB-C port of its own. The receiver charges via its USB-C port. Five minutes of charging provides approximately one hour of additional use on either unit, so a short top-up before a shoot goes a long way.

Mounting options:

Clip the transmitter to a collar, lapel, or shirt using the magnetic clip, or use the separate magnet to attach it behind fabric for a cleaner on-camera look. The magnetic front covers swap out easily and require no tools - press the new cover into place until it clicks.

Care and storage:

Keep the transmitter and receiver away from moisture and store them in a protective pouch when not in use. Avoid exposing either unit to direct heat or strong magnetic fields that could affect the built-in batteries or the magnetic cover attachment.
