The DJI Neo 2 is the most capable beginner drone DJI has ever built - and at 151g, it is the most compact drone in the market to feature full omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Where the original Neo could only detect what was beneath it, the Neo 2 uses a combination of forward-facing LiDAR, monocular visual sensing and downward infrared sensors to detect and avoid obstacles in real time from any direction, making it genuinely safe for beginners to fly even in cluttered environments. The 12MP 1/2-inch CMOS sensor on a new 2-axis mechanical gimbal captures 4K video at 60fps by default, with 4K slow motion at 100fps and a 2.7K vertical shooting mode for social-media-ready portrait content straight out of the drone. RockSteady electronic image stabilisation keeps footage smooth regardless of wind or subject movement.

The DJI Neo 2 is designed to be flown without a remote controller. Palm takeoff launches the drone directly from your hand, and the new Return to Palm feature brings it back to land precisely on your palm at the end of each flight. Gesture control and voice commands let you frame and capture shots without touching a phone or controller. ActiveTrack has been upgraded with eight-direction tracking - forward, backward, left, right and all four diagonals - with a maximum tracking speed of 12 m/s, covering running, cycling and fast activities with ease. SelfieShot automatically frames waist-up, full-body or long shots, while QuickShots, MasterShots and Dolly Zoom provide cinematic pre-programmed moves at a tap. A small onboard display shows the active shooting mode clearly without needing to open an app.

Wind resistance has been upgraded to Level 5 (10.7 m/s), a significant improvement over the original Neo, and up to 19 minutes of flight time per battery makes it practical for extended outdoor sessions.

This is the Drone Only variant - no remote controller, digital transceiver or additional batteries are included. In this configuration the Neo 2 operates over Wi-Fi with a range of up to 500m using the DJI Fly app. Adding the optional DJI Neo 2 Digital Transceiver and a compatible controller such as the RC-N3 extends range to up to 10km via DJI O4 video transmission and unlocks FailSafe Return to Home. The drone is also compatible with DJI RC Motion 3, FPV Remote Controller 3, Goggles 3 and Goggles N3 for a full FPV experience.
