Dulux Trade Aqua UniPrimer - All-in-One Water-Based Primer, Sealer and Stain Block

Four Products in One Tin:

Dulux Trade Aqua UniPrimer replaces four separate preparation products - primer, sealer, stain block, and undercoat - in a single water-based formula. One 1-litre tin covers up to 10 m² and is suitable for all major interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, wood, MDF, metal, uPVC, glass, and tiles.

Fast Turnaround on Site:

The formula is touch dry in just 30 minutes and recoatable after 1 hour under normal conditions, helping professional decorators keep projects moving. At lower temperatures or higher humidity, or when covering heavy stains or using a tinted version, allow 2 hours before recoating. The dry film reaches full adhesion cure after 7 days.

Strong Adhesion Without Sanding:

Aqua UniPrimer bonds to previously painted and glossy surfaces without the need for sanding, saving preparation time on refurbishment work. It blocks all major stains including water marks, nicotine, grease, tannin bleed, and rust, preventing bleed-through to the topcoat. Apply by brush, roller, or spray - thin 20% for HVLP spray with a #4 Fluid Set, or up to 5% for airless spray.

Independently Tested and Certified:

Aqua UniPrimer has been tested to EN ISO 16516 for Formaldehyde, Total VOCs, and Carcinogens. It is BREEAM NC 2018 and LEED v4.1 compliant and contributes toward the WELL Building Standard® Feature X06 VOC restrictions - relevant for commercial and public-sector projects with sustainability requirements. Do not apply at temperatures below 8°C, in line with BS 6150.
