A Versatile Mid-Sheen Finish for Trim, Doors, and Metalwork:

Dulux AquaMax Satinwood is a water-based paint formulated for use on interior and exterior wood and metal surfaces. It delivers a mid-sheen finish (25-35% sheen level) that suits skirting boards, door frames, window frames, doors, and primed metal surfaces. Two coats applied by brush, roller, conventional spray, or airless spray will give a smooth, even result with a coverage of approximately 13m² per litre for the Silverwood shade.

Quick Drying with Low Odour and Low VOCs:

The water-based AquaMax formula is touch dry in 1 hour and recoatable after 2-4 hours under standard drying conditions, making it well suited to busy households and trade use where turnaround time matters. It produces fewer VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) than traditional solvent-based satinwood paints, and its low-odour character means rooms remain more comfortable during and after application.

Silverwood - A Contemporary Medium Grey:

Silverwood is a stylish medium grey that reflects light well, lending a contemporary feel to woodwork and metalwork. Its non-yellowing formulation ensures the colour holds true over time, avoiding the warm cast that can develop with some older satinwood products. It works alongside a wide range of wall colour palettes, from neutral whites through to deeper tones.

Correct Preparation and Priming:

For new or bare wood, Dulux recommends applying AquaMax Primer Undercoat before topcoating with AquaMax Satinwood. For new bare metal, Dulux Trade Metalshield Primer is the recommended preparation product. Do not apply at temperatures below 7°C or in conditions where rain, fog, or frost is likely.
