Setup and Care

Positioning:

The EWDK5846B is a freestanding unit designed for installation on a flat, level surface with access to a cold water inlet and a standard drain outlet. The four adjustable feet allow the machine to be levelled on slightly uneven flooring. The maximum depth of 557mm means the machine fits into most standard laundry alcoves and kitchen runs.

Plumbing and ventilation:

Water condense drying requires no external vent or ducting, so the machine can be positioned wherever a plumbing connection is available. The 130cm inlet hose and included drain hose give a useful amount of reach for connecting to standard household plumbing. A qualified plumber or appliance installer should make the final water connections.

Drum care:

Running a Cotton 90°C cycle with drum cleaner once a month keeps the drum, door seal, and interior free of detergent residue and odour-causing build-up. The door and detergent drawer should be left ajar after each cycle to allow the interior to air dry between washes.

Filter maintenance:

The pump filter should be checked and cleaned every few months, or sooner if a blockage warning appears on the LED display. The water inlet filter at the back of the machine should be inspected periodically and rinsed clean. Both tasks can be done without tools and are described step by step in the user manual supplied with the machine.
