It supports 8 channels natively - managing up to 8 Bullet-PTZ cameras or up to 16 Bullet or Turret cameras - and comes with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive for 24/7 continuous recording from day one. The drive bay accepts a standard 3.5-inch SATA drive, and storage can be expanded up to 16TB at any time.

Local AI processing with no subscription:

The NVR S4 runs a Local AI Agent on an 8-core processor, distinguishing between people, vehicles and pets directly on the device - no cloud upload required and no monthly fees. The AI also supports customisable no-go zones and alert areas, so you receive notifications only for activity that genuinely matters to you.

Smart Video Finder:

Rather than scrolling through hours of footage, the Smart Video Finder lets you search recorded video using keywords or event types to locate relevant clips quickly. This is a practical feature for reviewing incidents without manually rewinding through recordings.

Live Cross-Cam Tracking:

When cameras work as a system, Live Cross-Cam Tracking passes a subject between cameras automatically. As one camera reaches the edge of its view, a neighbouring camera picks up tracking, maintaining continuous coverage across a wider area.

The NVR S4 has 8 PoE ports, allowing each eufy PoE camera to receive both power and video signal over a single Ethernet cable - no separate power supply per camera is needed. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Connect the NVR to your router via the included Ethernet cable, attach your eufy PoE cameras to the PoE ports using standard Ethernet runs, and power on the unit. The included USB mouse and HDMI cable allow you to complete initial setup directly on a connected display.

App and remote access:

Download the eufy Security app on Android or iOS to configure camera views, set recording schedules, and receive AI-triggered alerts. Remote web access is also available through a browser on Windows or macOS.

Storage management:

The pre-installed 2TB drive records continuously when set to 24/7 mode. To increase capacity, replace the existing 3.5-inch SATA drive with a compatible drive up to 16TB - the NVR supports S-ATA, S-ATA II, and S-ATA III drives.

General care:

Position the NVR in a well-ventilated indoor location away from direct moisture. Keep the unit free of dust around the vents and ensure the Ethernet and power connections are secure.
