Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the eufy Security app on iOS 12.0 or later or Android 8.0 or later and follow the in-app setup steps. Connect HomeBase 3 to your router via the supplied Ethernet cable, then add each S220 camera through the app. The recommended installation height for each camera is 2 to 3 metres for the best detection coverage.

Positioning for solar performance:

Mount each camera where the integrated solar panel receives direct sunlight for at least three hours per day. South- or west-facing positions typically work best in Ireland. On days with limited sunlight, the 6,500 mAh battery maintains operation for up to 90 days without any solar input, and you can recharge each camera via the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable when needed.

Storage expansion:

HomeBase 3 accepts a SATA-connected portable hard drive for storage expansion up to 16 TB. This allows continuous 24/7 recording across all connected cameras without relying on cloud storage or any subscription service.

Keeping the system running well:

Wipe the camera lens and solar panel surface with a soft, dry cloth periodically to maintain image clarity and charging efficiency. Keep the HomeBase 3 indoors in a well-ventilated location and ensure the Ethernet connection to your router remains secure for the most stable performance.
