Just two hours of direct sunlight daily is enough to keep both cameras fully charged, so there are no cables to run and no batteries to swap out. The built-in 6,400 mAh rechargeable battery (44.3 Wh) also supports USB-C top-up charging when needed.

AI detection and active deterrence:

The eufy SoloCam E42 uses on-device AI to detect and automatically track people and vehicles as they move across your property. When something is detected, a motion-activated 103 dB siren and 250-lumen red/blue strobe lights can be triggered to deter unwanted activity. Two-way full-duplex audio lets you communicate directly through the camera via the eufy Security app.

HomeBase S380 - local storage, no subscription:

This 2+1 kit includes the HomeBase™ S380 (HomeBase 3), which provides 16 GB of built-in storage expandable up to 16 TB with a compatible 2.5-inch hard drive (sold separately). Each camera also has a microSD card slot accepting cards up to 128 GB (sold separately). All footage stays on your own hardware - there is no cloud subscription required to use the system. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the eufy Security app (iOS or Android) and follow the in-app instructions to add the HomeBase S380 to your network via Ethernet, then pair each SoloCam E42 camera. Mount each camera using the supplied bracket and screws, positioning the solar panel to receive direct sunlight for at least 2 hours daily.

Charging and power:

The solar panel handles day-to-day charging under normal outdoor light conditions. The USB-C port on each camera provides a reliable top-up option during extended overcast periods. The eufy Security app displays the battery level of each camera so you can monitor charge status at a glance.

Storage setup:

The HomeBase S380 comes with 16 GB of built-in storage, which is ready to use immediately after setup. To expand storage capacity up to 16 TB, install a compatible 2.5-inch hard drive (sold separately) into the HomeBase. Each camera also accepts a microSD card up to 128 GB (sold separately) for independent local recording.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Wipe the camera housing with a soft, damp cloth when needed. Keep the solar panel surface clean and free from debris to maintain charging efficiency. The IP65-rated housing is designed to withstand rain and outdoor conditions without additional weatherproofing.
