This 'everyday' 50m/165ft fibreglass open reel tape ticks almost all the boxes when it comes to functionality and value.
The 50 metre (165 feet) fibreglass blade is graduated on both sides in both metric and imperial measurements (mm, cm, m and in, ft) in easy to read type. The blade is robust at 1/2" wide and can be re-wound back in to the case at a rate of knots thanks to its 4:1 geared winding mechanism.
The case into which the tape returns is an open-frame design styled to allow for ease of cleaning and to minimise the risk of damage/jamming caused by stones, dirt or other debris. The rotating finger-wound knob folds conveniently out of the way so as not to impede use.
The key benefits of a fibreglass blade are the same with this budget tape as with its more expensive counterparts. Water, tearing, heat, stretching, abrasion, scuffing... a fibreglass blade is resistant to every one of these factors making it ideal for life outdoors.
