The 50 metre (165 feet) fibreglass blade is graduated on both sides in both metric and imperial measurements (mm, cm, m and in, ft) in easy to read type. The blade is robust at 1/2" wide and can be re-wound back in to the case at a rate of knots thanks to its 4:1 geared winding mechanism.
The case into which the tape returns is an open-frame design styled to allow for ease of cleaning and to minimise the risk of damage/jamming caused by stones, dirt or other debris. The rotating finger-wound knob folds conveniently out of the way so as not to impede use.
