Setup and Care

Getting started:

Insert the 4 included AAA batteries, place the scale on a firm, flat surface, and follow the quick start guide to connect to your Wi-Fi network and set up your Garmin Connect account. The scale walks you through profile creation on first use.

Placing the scale correctly:

For consistent and accurate readings, place the Index S2 on a hard, flat floor such as tile or wood. If you use it on carpet, attach the included carpet feet to the underside of the scale to maintain stability and measurement accuracy.

Keeping it clean:

Wipe the tempered-glass surface with a soft, damp cloth after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can scratch the glass platform.

Battery management:

The colour display will indicate when battery levels are running low. Simply replace all 4 AAA batteries at the same time for best performance; user profiles and settings are retained after a battery change.
