Setup and Care

Installation:

The HBWR 496B8G-80 is a freestanding front-loading washer dryer requiring a cold water inlet connection and a drain outlet. Cabinet depth without pipes and door is 548 mm, making it suitable for most standard kitchen alcoves. The included noise reduction pads should be fitted beneath the machine to minimise vibration on hard floors. Stacking with a compatible Hoover dryer is supported using a separately purchased stacking kit.

First use:

Before loading garments for the first time, run a short Drum Clean or Cotton cycle at 60°C with no load to clean the drum interior. Download the hOn app on iOS or Android and connect via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to register the appliance and access the full programme library. Registration also activates the 10-year parts warranty.

Routine maintenance:

The Smart Spray feature helps keep the porthole gasket and glass clean during normal use. Clean the detergent drawer regularly and check the pump filter every few months to maintain drainage performance. The hOn app includes a self-maintenance planning tool that sends reminders when servicing is due.

Condenser drying care:

As a condenser washer dryer, moisture from the drying cycle is collected internally and expelled via the drain hose - no external venting is required. Ensure the drain hose remains unobstructed and that the machine has adequate ventilation around the sides and rear to support efficient drying performance.
