Setup and Care

Getting started:

Windows 11 Home is pre-installed, so setup involves following the on-screen prompts to connect to Wi-Fi and sign in with a Microsoft account. HP Support Assistant and myHP are pre-loaded to guide you through initial configuration and keep drivers up to date.

Charging and battery care:

Use the included 45W adapter to charge the laptop. For best battery health, allow the battery to discharge partially before a full recharge cycle when possible. HP Fast Charge works only when the laptop is fully powered off - not in sleep or hibernate mode.

Keeping the display clean:

Wipe the screen gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid applying liquid directly to the display and keep the laptop away from humid environments when not in use.

Everyday care:

The matte Roundstooth texture finish resists fingerprints on the lid and keyboard frame. For the keyboard and ports, use a dry soft brush or compressed air to clear dust from between keys and around port openings periodically.
