Spray extraction deep cleaning in one pass:

The Karcher SE4 Select uses Kärcher spray extraction technology to simultaneously spray water and detergent deep into carpet fibres and immediately suction it back out, removing embedded dirt and pet hair in a single pass. This method cleans well below the surface, and cleaned surfaces are ready to use again quickly. The Karcher SE4 carpet cleaner also works on upholstery, sofas, car seats, curtains, mattresses and cushion covers.

3-in-1 functionality for everyday cleaning tasks:

Beyond its spray extraction function, the SE4 Select can also be used as a wet and dry vacuum cleaner using the included accessories, making it a single machine for multiple cleaning tasks around the home. The 88 mm upholstery nozzle handles spot cleaning of upholstery and smaller textile surfaces. Switching between modes is straightforward, and all accessories store on the machine itself.

Dual 4-litre tanks with easy fill and empty:

The SE4 Select carries separate 4-litre containers for fresh and dirty water, keeping clean water and extracted dirty water completely apart throughout the cleaning process. The fresh water tank is removable, shock-proof and translucent, and can be filled and emptied without opening the machine. The 2-in-1 comfort system integrates the spray extraction hose for a streamlined setup.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the removable fresh water tank with tap water and, where appropriate, add the recommended quantity of Kärcher RM 519 detergent. Attach the spray extraction hose via the 2-in-1 comfort system and select the nozzle suited to the surface you are cleaning. The 6 m cable gives a useful working radius from a single plug socket.

Choosing the right nozzle:

Use the 227 mm spray extraction floor nozzle for carpets and rugs, switching to the hard surface attachment on the same nozzle when moving to hard floors. The 88 mm upholstery nozzle is suited to sofas, car seats, mattresses and curtains, while the crevice nozzle reaches into corners and along edges.

After each use:

Empty and rinse both the fresh water and dirty water tanks thoroughly after every cleaning session. Remove and clean the cartridge filter according to the steps in the instruction manual, and allow all components to dry fully before reassembling. Store accessories on the integrated device storage to keep them ready for next use.

Maintaining performance:

Check the cartridge filter regularly and replace them when worn to keep suction and spray performance consistent. Use only Kärcher-approved detergents such as RM 519, and do not exceed the maximum recommended cleaning solution temperature of 50°C.
