Setup and Care
Getting started:
The 85QNED7EB3A supports LG's ThinQ AI setup process, which guides you through Wi-Fi connection, account login, and streaming app configuration from the Magic Remote. HDMI-CEC (SimpLink) allows a single remote to control compatible soundbars, Blu-ray players, and set-top boxes once connected.
Wall mounting and placement:
The TV is VESA-compatible and suitable for wall mounting using a bracket rated for the panel's weight. For open-plan rooms, the stand keeps the screen stable on furniture up to 1895 mm wide. LG recommends a viewing distance of approximately 3.2 to 3.6 metres for comfortable 4K viewing at this screen size.
Picture calibration:
AI Picture Pro calibrates automatically, but manual calibration modes including ISF Certified (day and night) are available for AV installers or enthusiasts. Filmmaker Mode activates automatically for supported content via streaming apps and discs. The inbuilt Colour Calibration tool allows adjustment of white balance and gamma without external equipment.
Screen care:
Clean the screen with a dry or very lightly dampened microfibre cloth, wiping gently in one direction. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners or abrasive cloths on the NanoCell panel surface. Leaving static images on screen for extended periods can cause temporary image retention; LG's built-in Pixel Refresher cycle addresses this if it occurs.
