The LG USC9S delivers 400W total RMS output across a 3.1.3 channel configuration - 180W from the soundbar and 220W from the wireless subwoofer. Nine individual speaker drivers, including three up-firing channels, handle Dolby Atmos and DTS:X object-based audio by placing sound at precise points above and around the listener. IMAX Enhanced certification adds a further layer of studio-verified processing for compatible content.

Meridian Audio and AI Room Calibration Pro:

Meridian Audio technology, developed by the British hi-fi specialist, shapes the soundbar's output for greater detail and spatial accuracy across all listening modes. AI Room Calibration Pro takes measurements using 400Hz reference signals and automatically adjusts the EQ to suit the specific dimensions of your room, removing the need for manual calibration. AI Sound Pro analyses the content type in real time and selects the most appropriate sound profile automatically.

Triple Level Spatial Sound and Virtual Sound Dome:

Triple Level Spatial Sound uses an HRTF-based 3D processing engine to generate a virtual middle audio layer, creating what LG describes as a Virtual Sound Dome above and around the listening position. The three up-firing drivers work in combination with this processing to reproduce height information from Atmos and DTS:X tracks without requiring ceiling-bounce conditions. Seven preset sound modes - including Cinema, Clear Voice Pro, Game, and Bass Blast - let you tailor the output to the programme type.

HDMI 2.1 with eARC and gaming compatibility:

Two HDMI 2.1 ports handle 4K video at 120Hz pass-through alongside eARC audio return from the TV. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) are both supported, reducing input lag when a games console is connected via the HDMI input. Dolby Vision and HDR10 pass-through are also supported, keeping the full HDR chain intact from source to display.

WOW Bracket and LG TV integration:

The USC9S ships with LG's WOW Bracket, which allows the soundbar to clip directly onto LG OLED C2 and C3 TVs in 55", 65", and 77" screen sizes, replacing the TV's desktop stand. When paired with a compatible LG TV, WOW Orchestra blends the TV's own speakers with the soundbar's output, WOW Interface gives full soundbar control from the TV's on-screen menu via a single remote, and WOWCAST provides a wireless audio connection between the two units without an HDMI cable. These features require a compatible LG TV and are not available with other brands.

Wireless streaming and smart platform support:

Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect all allow wireless audio streaming from phones, tablets, and computers. Setup and Care

Placement:

Position the soundbar centrally below or above your TV for best stereo imaging. The wireless subwoofer can be placed anywhere within range of the bar - against a side wall or in a corner will reinforce bass output. Allow at least 10cm clearance around the subwoofer vents.

Connecting to your TV:

Use the included HDMI cable to connect the soundbar's HDMI eARC port to your TV's eARC-compatible HDMI port for the best audio quality. For LG OLED C2 or C3 TVs, the WOW Bracket can be fitted to replace the TV stand, securing the soundbar directly to the screen. WOWCAST allows a wireless audio link between the soundbar and compatible LG TVs once both are set up on the same network.

AI Room Calibration Pro:

Run AI Room Calibration Pro on first setup by following the on-screen prompts - the process takes under a minute and uses audible test tones to measure your room. Repeat the calibration if you move either the soundbar or subwoofer to a new position. The soundbar stores the calibration profile and applies it automatically on power-up.

Cleaning and care:

Wipe the soundbar cabinet with a dry or lightly dampened microfibre cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray liquids directly onto the grille fabric. The subwoofer cabinet can be wiped clean with the same method - keep the port opening free of dust to maintain airflow.
