Nextbase 222XR Front and Rear Dash Cam with Intelligent Parking Mode

All-Round Journey Recording:

The Nextbase 222XR records your journey from both ends of the car simultaneously. The front camera captures footage in 1080p Full HD at 30fps across a 140-degree field of view, while the included rear wired window camera records in 720p Standard HD at 30fps via a 6-metre USB-C cable - wide enough to cover up to six lanes of traffic at the front.

Clear Footage in All Lighting Conditions:

The 222XR uses a 4-layer F1.6 aperture lens combined with HDR and WDR imaging technologies to handle the contrast between bright sky and dark road surfaces. Night Vision is built in, so the camera continues to record usable footage after dark without any manual adjustment.

Intelligent Parking Mode:

When the vehicle is parked and the ignition is off, the G-Force sensor remains active. If the car is bumped or moved, the dash cam switches on automatically, records for 30 seconds, and then powers down again - capturing incidents that occur while you are away from the vehicle. The G-sensor sensitivity is adjustable between high, medium, low, and off to suit different parking environments.

Click&Go PRO Powered Mount:

The included Click&Go PRO magnetic mount integrates the power cable directly into the bracket, so there is no separate power lead running from the camera itself. The dash cam clicks into and out of the mount in one motion, making it straightforward to move between vehicles or remove the unit when parked.

Loop Recording and Storage:

Loop recording is active by default - when the microSD card fills up, the oldest footage is automatically overwritten to keep recording without interruption. The 222XR supports cards up to 128GB; a U3-rated microSD card designed for dash cam or CCTV use is recommended and is sold separately. At 1080p front and 720p rear, a 32GB card holds approximately 2 hours of footage, a 64GB card approximately 4 hours, and a 128GB card approximately 8 hours.

Setup and Care

Mounting the Camera:

Attach the 3M adhesive pad to your windscreen in a position that does not obstruct your view of the road. Click the 222XR onto the Click&Go PRO mount - the integrated power connectors mean the unit receives power through the bracket itself, keeping the camera free of a separate power lead.

Routing the Rear Camera Cable:

Feed the 6-metre USB-C cable from the front unit along the headliner and down the door seal to the rear window. The cable length is sufficient for most car and SUV body styles. Attach the rear camera to the rear window using the adhesive fitting provided with the rear camera unit.

Setting Up the microSD Card:

Insert a U3-rated Micro SD card (8GB-128GB) designed for dash cam or CCTV use before first recording. The 222XR will format the card on first use. Loop recording activates automatically once a compatible card is inserted and the camera is powered on.

Keeping the Lens Clear:

Wipe the front lens periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove condensation, dust, or road film that could reduce image quality. Keep the rear camera lens clear of condensation on the rear window, particularly during colder months, to maintain clear rear footage.
