The Portwest SK18 is a thermal work sock designed specifically for use in extreme cold weather environments. Its double-layer knit construction traps heat close to the skin, while the polyolefin insulating material keeps warmth locked in without adding unnecessary bulk. At 41cm in height, the sock provides solid leg coverage for use with tall work boots.
Wool blend shell with Viafil inner lining:
The shell is knitted from a 40% wool, 40% acrylic, and 20% nylon blend, giving the sock natural temperature-regulating properties and excellent durability. The inner lining is 100% Viafil, which works alongside the shell to draw moisture away from the foot and maintain a dry, comfortable environment throughout the day.
Fit and foot care:
A seamless toe construction eliminates pressure points and reduces the risk of irritation during extended wear. The cushioned heel section reduces friction between the foot and the boot, and the knit gauge 9 construction helps the sock retain its shape wash after wash. Antimicrobial properties help control odour, keeping the sock fresh across long working shifts.
