This Powermaster 2 gang switched socket carries an IP66 rating when the cover is sealed and plugs are in use, meaning it is fully protected against powerful water jets and dust ingress. That rating makes it suited to exposed walls, outbuildings, sheds, and agricultural settings where standard indoor sockets would be unsafe.
High impact polycarbonate housing:
The unit is constructed from high impact polycarbonate, chosen for its resistance to knocks, moisture, and UV exposure over years of outdoor service. Durable seals are built in to maintain weatherproofing integrity throughout the product's working life.
BS 1363-2 compliant sockets with power indicators:
Both sockets are manufactured to BS 1363-2, the British and Irish standard for 13A switched socket-outlets, giving confidence in safety and compatibility with standard Irish and UK plugs. Individual power indicator lights on each switched socket allow you to confirm at a glance which outlet is live.
Flexible cable entry and installation:
Eight 20mm cable entries are positioned across the four faces of the enclosure - one on each side, three on the top, and three on the bottom - giving the installer flexibility to route cables from almost any direction. A 20/25mm drill-out entry on the rear face adds a further option for back-entry installations. Terminal capacity covers 3x 2.5mm², 3x 4.0mm², and 2x 6.0mm² conductors. The unit is supplied with a multiple knock-out mounting box.
