Setup and Care

Getting started:

Place the machine on a stable, dry worktop surface near a mains socket. Fill the water tank to your desired level, add whole beans to the grinder compartment, and set the coarseness dial to your preferred grind. Run one water-only cycle before your first coffee brew to rinse the system through.

Programming the timer:

Use the 24-hour timer controls to set your desired brew time. Fill the water tank and add beans the evening before so the machine is ready to go automatically in the morning. Refer to the instruction manual for the step-by-step timer-setting sequence.

Routine cleaning:

Remove the filter basket and rinse it under warm running water after each use. The water tank is removable for easy rinsing. Wipe down the exterior and Keep Warm plate with a damp cloth - avoid submerging any part of the machine.

Descaling:

Descale the machine regularly, especially in hard-water areas. Russell Hobbs recommends using a proprietary descaling solution and following the descaling programme outlined in the instruction manual. Regular descaling maintains brewing performance and extends the working life of the machine.
