The Sage Bambino Plus uses the proprietary ThermoJet® heating system to reach the correct extraction temperature in just 3 seconds from a cold start. There is no waiting around for the machine to warm up - press the button and your espresso is under way almost immediately.

Consistent espresso from the 4 keys formula:

Sage built the Bambino Plus around what it calls the 4 keys formula: the right dose of coffee in a 54 mm stainless steel portafilter, precise water temperature held within ±1 °C by PID digital temperature control, 9-bar extraction pressure delivered by a 15-bar Italian pump, and properly textured microfoam milk. Low-pressure pre-infusion slowly wets the coffee grounds before full pressure is applied, which gives a more even extraction and a richer crema.

Hands-free milk texturing with Auto MilQ™:

The Auto MilQ™ automatic steam wand handles milk texturing without manual technique. Choose from three milk temperature settings - Warm, Ideal, or Hot - and three foam texture levels from Low to High, and the wand does the rest. The result is microfoam suitable for latte art, cappuccinos, and flat whites, produced consistently cup after cup. For those who prefer full manual control, the wand can also be operated manually.

Compact design with a considered finish:

At 19.4 cm wide, the Bambino Plus fits comfortably on a standard kitchen worktop without dominating the space. The Black Truffle finish gives the machine a distinctive, understated look that sits well in a modern kitchen. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the 1.9-litre water reservoir and fit the Claro Swiss water filter before first use. Insert the filter holder and run a rinse cycle as described in the user guide to flush through the system. The machine is ready to brew in 3 seconds once powered on.

Daily use:

Use the supplied Razor™ Precision Dosing Tool to level the coffee bed in the portafilter before tamping. Select 1 CUP or 2 CUP for your shot, then use the STEAM button to activate the Auto MilQ™ wand for milk-based drinks. Shot volumes and durations can be reprogrammed to your preference by holding the cup button during extraction.

Cleaning:

Run the built-in cleaning programme regularly using the supplied cleaning disc and espresso cleaning tablets to keep the brew head clear. Remove and rinse the drip tray and water reservoir as needed. The portafilter baskets and milk jug are best rinsed immediately after each use.

Descaling:

Use the built-in descaling programme with the supplied descaling powder when the machine prompts you, or approximately every 2-3 months depending on water hardness. Fitting the Claro Swiss water filter and replacing it as recommended will reduce the frequency of descaling cycles needed.
