The Sage Barista Express Impress coffee machine brings together a built-in conical burr grinder and the Impress™ Puck System to handle dosing and tamping for you. The system applies 10 kg of pressure with a 7° barista twist to create an even, consistent coffee puck every time, reducing loose grounds on the bench and portafilter.

Precise temperature and extraction:

Thermocoil heating with PID temperature control delivers water at exactly 93°C, and the brew temperature is adjustable by ±2°C so you can dial in the flavour to suit your beans. Low-pressure pre-infusion begins the extraction before the 9-bar pump pressure takes over, drawing out an even, balanced shot.

Intelligent dose correction:

The Auto Dose Correct function remembers any adjustments made during the previous grind and automatically compensates the next dose. Combined with 25 precision grind settings, this keeps your espresso consistent from cup to cup without manual recalculation. The Barista Express Impress is designed for home users who want reliable, repeatable results without specialist training.

Steam and hot water:

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the 2-litre water tank, insert the included water filter, and add whole beans to the 250 g hopper. Run the machine's guided setup cycle before your first shot, and use the cleaning disc and tablets supplied in the box for the initial flush.

Routine cleaning:

The removable drip tray, water tank, and filter baskets lift out for rinsing after each session. The backflush cleaning programme runs directly through the machine using a cleaning tablet and the cleaning disc.

Descaling:

The machine monitors water hardness and prompts you when descaling is due. Use the included descale powder with the machine's guided descaling programme to maintain consistent extraction temperature and Thermocoil performance.

Steam wand care:

Purge the steam wand with a brief burst of steam after each use and wipe with a damp cloth. The included steam wand cleaning tool helps clear the tip of any milk residue.
