Automated Grinding, Dosing and Tamping:

The Sage Oracle Touch handles the three most demanding manual steps automatically. An integrated conical burr grinder with 45 precision grind settings doses and tamps 22 grams of coffee directly into a 58mm stainless steel portafilter - ready for extraction with no manual effort. The Oracle Touch is built around the professional espresso machine format while removing the barista skill barrier.

Dual Boiler Precision with PID Temperature Control:

Two independent boilers - one dedicated to espresso extraction, one to steam - allow simultaneous brewing and milk texturing without any waiting time between. PID Temperature Control maintains water temperature within ±1°C across a programmable range of 86°C to 96°C, and a Heated Group Head with an embedded PID-controlled element provides additional thermal stability from the first shot. Low Pressure Pre-Infusion holds the coffee bed at 2-4 bar before gradually stepping up to 9 bar extraction pressure, reducing the risk of uneven extraction through the puck.

Hands-Free Microfoam Milk Texturing:

The automatic steam wand textures milk, with adjustable temperature in 1°C steps from 40°C to 75°C and 9 levels of milk texture selectable on the touchscreen. For users who prefer the traditional approach, the steam wand can also be operated manually in the same way as a commercial machine. One Touch Americano delivers a double espresso and then separately fills the cup with hot water through a dedicated spout, replicating the café process.

Touchscreen Personalisation and Drink Saving:

The touchscreen interface gives access to 5 pre-programmed café favourites - espresso, long black, latte, flat white and cappuccino - and allows up to 8 personalised drinks to be saved with individual coffee strength, milk texture and temperature settings. An auto-start programme can be configured to have the machine ready at a set time, and auto shut-off activates after 30 minutes of inactivity to reduce energy use.

Setup and Care

Getting Started:

Place the machine on a flat, stable surface with adequate clearance above for the bean hopper lid and around the steam wand. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and insert the supplied water filter and holder before first use. Run a rinse cycle as described in the instruction booklet to prepare the boilers and group head.

Grinder Setup:

Load the bean hopper with up to 280g of whole roasted coffee beans and select a grind setting suited to your beans, adjusting finer or coarser based on how the shot pours and tastes. The machine will grind, dose and tamp automatically each time you select a drink, so no manual intervention is needed once your preferred grind size is set.

Milk System Care:

Rinse the milk jug and steam wand after each use. The automatic steam wand includes a purge function that clears the wand after steaming - run it after each milk drink to keep the wand clear. The steam wand tip can be removed and soaked in warm water for a thorough clean.

Descaling and Maintenance:

The machine monitors water hardness using the supplied test strip and will alert you when a descale cycle is due. Use the recommended Sage descaling solution and follow the on-screen descale programme. The drip tray, grinds bin and water tank are all removable for rinsing. The cleaning kit supplied includes tablets and tools for group head and portafilter basket maintenance.
