Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the 1.4-litre water tank and the 250 g bean hopper before first use. Select your preferred grind setting from the multilevel options and run the machine through its initial rinse cycle as described in the instruction manual. The coffeeDirect sensor panel guides you through drink selection from the first use.

Daily cleaning:

The removable brewing unit can be rinsed under running water regularly to keep it free of coffee residue. The drip plate, milk nozzle, and grounds container are all dishwasher-safe, making end-of-day cleaning straightforward. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth - avoid abrasive cleaners on the Piano Black finish.

Descaling:

The machine runs a built-in descaling programme when prompted by the LED display. Use a Siemens-approved descaling tablet as directed in the manual. Fitting a Brita Intenza filter cartridge in the water tank reduces the frequency of descaling in hard-water areas.

Long-term care:

Run the automatic cleaning cycle with a cleaning tablet at the intervals suggested by the machine. Store the machine on a stable, flat surface away from steam sources. Refer to the instruction manual for full guidance on grinder adjustment and periodic deep-clean routines.
