The Siemens EQ500 is a fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine that grinds fresh beans for every cup using the ceramDrive ceramic burr grinder, with six grind settings for personalised strength. The aromaDouble Shot process grinds and brews in two separate cycles, extracting a stronger, fuller flavour with less bitterness.

Automatic milk system with autoMilk Clean:

The integrated milk container connects directly to the machine and froths milk for cappuccinos, latte macchiatos, and espresso macchiatos at the touch of a button. After each milk drink, the autoMilk Clean function steams the milk system automatically, rinsing tubes and nozzles without manual dismantling.

Two drinks at once with oneTouch DoubleCup:

The oneTouch DoubleCup function prepares two milk speciality drinks simultaneously - useful when serving two people at the same time. Both cups are filled in a single operation from the coffeeSelect TFT touchdisplay, with no need to repeat the process manually.

Up to 18 beverages via the machine and Home Connect app:

Nine drinks are available directly on the machine, including espresso, ristretto, cappuccino, latte macchiato, espresso macchiato, espresso doppio, milk foam, hot water, and coffee. Connecting to the Home Connect app over Wi-Fi unlocks additional options - including americano, flat white, red eye, and large espresso - bringing the total to up to 18 beverages. Drink strength, temperature, and volume can be saved as personal profiles.

Low-maintenance cleaning and descaling:

The brewing unit is dismountable for rinsing, and all key contact parts - including the drip plate, milk container, milk nozzle, milk tube, and grounds container - are dishwasher safe. The Calc'n clean automatic descaling programme runs when prompted, and automatic tablet-based cleaning keeps the brew group in working order between services.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the water tank and bean hopper before first use. Run the machine through its initial rinse cycle as prompted by the coffeeSelect display. Use the included test strip to check your water hardness and set the descaling sensitivity accordingly.

Daily use:

Select your drink from the coffeeSelect TFT touchdisplay or via the Home Connect app on your smartphone. Adjust the grind setting, aroma intensity, and cup volume to your preference, and save your settings as a personal profile for repeat use. The coffee outlet adjusts from 9 cm to 14 cm to suit different cup heights.

Cleaning the milk system:

The autoMilk Clean function runs automatically after each milk drink, steaming the milk tubes and nozzle clean without manual intervention. The milk container, nozzle, tube, drip plate, and grounds container are all dishwasher safe and can be removed for a more thorough clean as needed.

Descaling and brew group maintenance:

When the machine prompts for descaling, run the Calc'n clean automatic programme using a compatible Siemens descaling tablet. The brewing unit is dismountable and can be rinsed under the tap. The machine will also prompt for tablet-based automatic cleaning of the brew group at regular intervals.
