Permanently blocks stains and odours:

The Blockade Shellac Sealer Primer uses a pure shellac base to permanently seal stains caused by water damage, smoke, nicotine, and mould. Unlike water-based alternatives, it covers even the darkest discolouration in one to two coats without the stain bleeding through the finish coat.

Ideal for timber knots and problem surfaces:

On new or bare timber, Blockade seals knots and resin in a single coat and, crucially, does not raise the grain of the wood the way water-based primers do. It also adheres directly to glossy surfaces such as tile, varnish, and existing gloss paint with no sanding required, making it a practical choice for spot repairs and rapid redecoration.

Aerosol convenience for targeted application:

The 400ml pressurised aerosol can delivers the same Blockade formula used in the brush and roller sizes, in a format suited to smaller areas and spot priming work. Touch dry in 15 minutes and recoatable in 45 minutes, it keeps redecoration moving at a reasonable pace.
