Smith and Rodger Rocktop: Multi Surface Clear Varnish for Interior Use

One tin, almost any surface:

Rocktop is a water-based clear varnish formulated to work across a wide range of interior surfaces - wooden floors, doors, skirting boards, kitchen worktops, furniture, cork, tiles, stone, and even wallpaper in bathrooms and high-humidity areas. Where most varnishes are engineered for a single substrate, Rocktop is designed to handle them all from one tin, making it a practical choice for decorators and DIY users alike.

Fast drying and built for high-traffic areas:

Rocktop is touch dry in 30 minutes and recoatable after 90 minutes, so work can progress without long delays between coats. It is rated for high-traffic areas including domestic wooden floors, with a walk-on time of 24 hours and a full cure time of 5 days. Smith and Rodger recommend two coats for painted walls and wallpaper, three coats for doors and skirting, and four coats for wooden floors.

Water-based formula that will not yellow:

The low-VOC, water-based formula dries clear and will not yellow over time, making it suitable for use over pale-coloured paintwork, light-toned furniture, and wallpaper where colour shift would be visible. Brushes and equipment clean up with water. Rocktop can also be added directly to water-based emulsion to increase the scrub resistance and durability of a painted surface. Do not apply below 13°C.
