The Union 1332 is a rim-mounted drawback lock that combines a sprung latch with a double-throw deadbolt for enhanced front door security. The first full turn of the key throws the deadbolt into the keep, and a second turn double throws the bolt, extending the projection to 20mm for greater resistance against forced entry. The drawback trigger handle on the inside retracts the latch by pulling it back like a trigger, rather than using a standard rotating thumbturn. This direct-action mechanism is practical for glass panel doors and situations where a projecting thumbturn is not desired.

Key operation outside, drawback handle inside, with hold-back function:

The key operates both the latch and the deadbolt from outside the door. The drawback handle retracts the latch from inside. The latch can be held in the withdrawn position by rotating the handle anti-clockwise (with the deadbolt withdrawn), allowing the door to be opened and closed freely without the latch engaging. This is useful for frequently used doors during the day, service doors, and doors in commercial settings. The deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by key from either side using the 5 pin external cylinder and 2 pin internal cylinder.

Brass finish with 60mm backset for timber doors 35-60mm thick:

The electro brass case, keep, and cylinder provide a coordinated brass appearance that matches brass door furniture. The 60mm backset and 92mm case width suit standard front doors. The lock is non-handed, fitting doors hinged on the left or right that open inward. Suitable for timber doors between 35mm and 60mm thick. Also suitable for steel and composite doors with special fixings (not included). The Union 1332 is a direct alternative to the Chubb 4L69 (slight adjustments may be needed when replacing).
