Christmas Party Lights

Christmas Party Lights

Party lights are the brighter, busier end of the Christmas lighting range: multi function sets with chase, twinkle, fade and flash modes, colour changing LEDs and the kind of output that reads across a room rather than around a tree. They suit a garden room, a games room, a shed bar or a marquee more than a front sitting room, and they are what people reach for when the display has to look lively rather than restrained. Most run on mains power with a controller on the lead that steps through eight modes.

Multi Function and Colour Changing Light Sets

An eight function controller gives you steady on at one end and rapid flash at the other, with chase and fade in between. Steady is the one most people settle on after a week. Colour changing sets switch between warm white and multi colour on the same string, which is useful if the room does double duty between a family evening and a party. Multi Coloured Lights for Rooms and Gardens

If you want colour without the motion effects, a plain multi coloured set is the simpler buy and it will not distract the way a chase sequence does in a small room. See multi coloured Christmas lights, and for the quieter end of the range warm white Christmas lights.

Powering a Party Light Display Safely

Party sets draw more than a simple tree string, so check the total load before you daisy chain several onto one lead. If any of it is going outside or into a garden room with an outside run, use an outdoor rated extension and a weatherproof connection box. Both are in Christmas electrics and essentials.
