The eufy e40 camera uses Starlight Colour Night Vision with AI-ISP to produce full-colour images in low-light conditions without requiring a spotlight, and HDR processing keeps licence plates and faces legible even in high-contrast lighting. In complete darkness, a built-in spotlight activates alongside red and blue strobe deterrence lights and an integrated siren.

Setup and Care

Planning your installation:

Identify camera positions before running cables, keeping each camera within the reach of the supplied Ethernet cables. The NVR's HDMI output connects to any standard monitor or TV for initial setup via the on-screen GUI.

Mounting the cameras:

Each E40 bullet cam includes a mounting bracket, screws, and a grommet for wall or soffit installation. Position cameras under an eave where possible to maximise weather protection and reduce lens glare from direct rain.

App and remote access:

Download the eufy Security app on Android or iOS to configure alerts, review footage, and manage camera settings remotely. The AI-Powered Video Finder can be accessed through the app or the web portal to locate specific recorded events by keyword.

Ongoing maintenance:

Wipe camera lenses periodically with a soft, dry cloth to maintain image clarity. The NVR hard drive can be upgraded to a larger drive (up to 16TB) by a competent installer should additional storage be needed as your system grows.
