Setup and Care

Positioning and first use:

Place the freezer on a level surface under a standard worktop or in an outbuilding, garage, or basement. Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 4 hours after delivery before switching on. Adjust the feet to level the unit and ensure the door seals properly. Leave a small gap at the back and sides for ventilation.

Reversing the door:

The door can be reversed from right to left hinge (or vice versa) to suit your kitchen layout. Follow the instructions in the user manual. This may require basic tools and is typically a two-person job.

Temperature adjustment and Low Frost defrosting:

Turn the mechanical knob to adjust the internal temperature. Low Frost technology reduces ice build-up, but manual defrosting is still needed periodically. Defrost when frost reaches approximately 3-5mm on the compartment walls. Switch off, remove food, and allow the ice to melt before wiping the interior dry.

Cleaning and maintenance:

Wipe the interior and drawers with a soft cloth and mild detergent when defrosting. Clean the door seal regularly to maintain an airtight fit. The exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth. Download the hOn app for Inventory Assistant tracking and helpful video tutorials.
