Clean Shield Hygiene System:

Setup and Care

Positioning:

Allow at least 50 mm of clearance at the rear and on both sides for ventilation and hose routing. The machine should sit on a firm, level floor to ensure stable operation and to allow the AI Silent Motion system to function correctly.

Connections:

Connect the inlet hose to a cold water supply and route the outlet hose into a standpipe or over the edge of a sink at a height between 600 mm and 1,000 mm. The machine is supplied with a UK plug; an EU adapter or a replacement Irish plug will be required.

First Use:

Run an empty drum clean cycle before your first load to rinse out any residue from manufacture. Download the hOn app on iOS or Android and follow the in-app pairing guide to connect the machine via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and unlock the full range of 60-plus programmes.

Ongoing Care:

Run the 60°C Drum Clean cycle regularly to keep the drum fresh, and wipe the door gasket dry after each wash to maintain the Clean Shield anti-bacterial treatment. The detergent drawer pulls out fully for rinsing under the tap, and the pump filter at the base of the machine should be checked and cleared every few months.
