Setup and Care

Positioning and installation:

This is a freestanding, cold-fill-only machine requiring a single cold-water connection and a 220-240 V mains supply. The net body depth is 550 mm, so measure the available recess before installation. The full depth including protruding hose connections is 635 mm, which is worth accounting for in tighter spaces.

Removing transit bolts:

Transit bolts are fitted at the rear of the machine to protect the drum during transport. These must be removed before first use using the supplied tool. Refer to the installation booklet for the bolt locations and removal steps - the full user manual is available to download from the Samsung website if needed.

Drum and drawer care:

Running the Drum Clean+ programme monthly helps keep the drum fresh and free of residue. The StayClean Drawer is designed to reduce detergent build-up between washes, though wiping the drawer compartment occasionally will maintain performance. Leave the door slightly ajar between cycles to allow the drum interior to air out.

SmartThings app setup:

Download the Samsung SmartThings app on an Android or iOS device and follow the in-app pairing steps to connect the machine to your home Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can monitor cycle progress, receive end-of-cycle alerts, and download additional wash programmes directly to the machine.
