Setup and Care

Positioning:

Place the machine on a firm, level floor capable of supporting 65 kg plus the weight of a full load. Allow at least 50 mm clearance at the back for hose connections and adequate ventilation at the sides. Remove all transit bolts before first use - these are supplied with the machine and the manual shows their location.

Plumbing and connections:

Connect the inlet hose to a standard 15 mm cold-water supply and route the outlet hose to a standpipe or sink with a minimum 60 cm drop height. The machine is cold-fill only, so no hot-water connection is needed. A 13-amp earthed socket is required within reach of the 200 cm mains cable.

Drum and drawer care:

Run the Drum Clean programme monthly (or every 40 cycles as prompted by the display) to keep the drum fresh. Leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open between washes to allow moisture to disperse. The StayClean Drawer automatically rinses the drawer during each wash, but wipe it down periodically to prevent build-up around the seals.

SmartThings setup:

Download the SmartThings app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and create or sign into your Samsung account. Connect the machine to your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz band) via the app to enable remote control, cycle monitoring, and AI Energy Mode. The app also provides maintenance reminders and access to the full programme library.
