Samsung ecobubble 8kg Washer Dryer - Series 5 Model WD80TA046BX/EU

ecobubble Technology for Effective Cold-Temperature Washing:

The Samsung ecobubble system mixes air, water and detergent before the cycle begins, generating bubbles that penetrate fabric quickly at lower temperatures. This means the Samsung ecobubble 8kg washing machine and dryer delivers a thorough clean at lower temperatures, with a wash-only energy class of C. It also offers 10 wash programmes including Cotton, Synthetics, Wool/Delicates, Eco 40-60, Intense Cold, Mixed Load, 15 Quick Wash, Pre Wash, Rinse + Spin, and Drum Clean.

Hygiene Steam for a Deep Clean Without Extra Chemicals:

The Hygiene Steam programme injects steam from the bottom of the drum upward, penetrating fabrics throughout the load. It suits towels, bedding and heavier everyday loads. Hygiene Steam is available as a standalone programme alongside the standard wash selection.

Digital Inverter Technology for Quiet, Reliable Performance:

The Digital Inverter Technology (DIT) motor uses strong magnets rather than brushes, which reduces friction, lowers noise levels, and extends the working life of the motor. Spin noise is rated at 72 dB with a Noise Emission Class of A.

Wash and Dry in Under an Hour:

For loads of up to 1 kg, the combined Wash and Dry cycle completes in 59 minutes - a useful option when a single item or a small number of garments is needed quickly. Larger combined cycles run to 6 hours 47 minutes for a full 8 kg wash and 5 kg dry. Four drying programmes are available: Cotton Dry, Synthetics Dry, Air Wash, and the combined Wash and Dry cycle.

StayClean Drawer and Bubble Soak for Practical Day-to-Day Use:

The StayClean Drawer uses targeted water jets to rinse detergent residue from the dispenser drawer after each cycle, reducing the build-up that is common in standard dispensers. Bubble Soak applies ecobubble technology as a pre-soak option, useful for heavily soiled items before the main wash begins. A Child Lock, Delay End timer, and adjustable spin speed round out the everyday convenience features on this machine.

Setup and Care

Installation:

This machine requires a cold water inlet connection and a drain outlet. It can be installed freestanding or under a standard worktop. Level the adjustable feet carefully before first use to minimise vibration during spin cycles.

Getting the Best Wash Results:

Use the Eco 40-60 programme for mixed cotton and synthetic loads to take full advantage of the ecobubble technology at lower temperatures. Select Hygiene Steam for towels and bedding. Bubble Soak is well suited to items with ground-in stains before beginning the main wash.

Keeping the Machine Fresh:

Run the Drum Clean programme regularly - approximately once a month - to keep the drum free of detergent build-up and odour. The StayClean Drawer cleans itself after each cycle, but wiping the drawer housing periodically will maintain it in good condition. Leave the door ajar after each wash to allow the drum and door seal to air dry.

Drying Tips:

The condenser drying system does not require external venting, so the machine can be used in most internal locations with standard plumbing access. For best drying results, avoid overloading beyond the 5 kg drying capacity and select the correct dry level for the garment type using the Dry Level selector. The Air Wash programme freshens lightly worn items using circulated air without a full wash cycle.
