The Shark HP162UK uses NeverChange6 filtration to capture 99.98% of particles including dust, pet dander, pollen, mould spores and viruses - exceeding standard HEPA performance. Tested to GB/T18801-2022 PCCM, the filter is rated to last up to 6 years without replacement based on 12 hours of daily operation on MAX fan speed in a 14 m² space, removing the ongoing cost of filter cartridges.

Sensors that scan the air 3,600 times every hour:

The BreatheClear Operating System monitors particles, VOCs, humidity and temperature continuously, scanning 3,600 times per hour. When movement or an increase in pollutants is detected, the unit automatically adjusts its fan speed across 5 settings. Motion Detection boosts purification when activity is present, while Light Detection dims the display in low-light conditions without any manual input needed.

Real-time air quality at a glance - no app required:

The high-resolution Air Index Display reports live readings for PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 particles, VOCs, humidity and temperature, plus trends via the My Air IQ analytics screen. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Place the unit on a firm, level surface with clearance around the air inlet and outlet vents. Plug into a standard mains socket using the 180 cm cable. The Air Index Display powers on immediately and begins monitoring air quality without any app setup or Wi-Fi connection required.

Choosing your operating mode:

Select Auto mode to let the sensors manage fan speed based on real-time air quality readings. Manual mode lets you set any of the 5 fan speeds directly. Daily Routine Sleep mode reduces noise output for use during quieter periods such as overnight in the bedroom.

Cleaning the Debris Defence Washable Filter:

The Debris Defence Washable Filter can be removed and rinsed with clean water when visible debris accumulates. Allow it to dry fully before refitting. This filter is reusable and does not need to be replaced under normal operating conditions.

Main filter care:

The NeverChange6 HEPA filter is rated for up to 6 years of use based on 12 hours of daily operation on MAX speed in a 14 m² space. No scheduled replacement is required within this period. The Air Index Display will indicate if filtration performance changes so you can monitor filter condition over time.
