Capacity is quoted in place settings rather than litres, and a place setting is a standardised set of one person's crockery and cutlery, so 13 to 14 places covers a family and 10 places suits a couple or a small kitchen. Width is the other hard constraint: 60cm is full size, while 45cm slimline exists specifically for kitchens where a full unit will not fit, at the cost of roughly a third of the capacity. Measure the aperture before anything else. Installation type is the decision that has to be made at kitchen-design stage rather than later. A freestanding machine has a finished top and sides and can stand anywhere with a supply and drain. A fully integrated machine hides completely behind a matching cabinet door, with the controls on the top edge of the door so nothing is visible when closed, and it needs a door panel supplied by the kitchen. Semi-integrated leaves a control panel showing. These are not interchangeable, so buying the wrong one means either a visible mismatch or a gap. Beyond that, WiFi and app control allow remote start, which is genuinely useful for running a cycle on a cheaper electricity rate overnight. Colour only matters on freestanding models, since integrated machines are hidden.
