Setup and Care

Getting started:

Place the machine on a stable, level worktop with at least 150 mm clearance above and 50 mm to each side for ventilation. Fill the front-access water tank, add whole beans to the 500 g hopper, and follow the on-screen guided setup to set water hardness and grind level before the first brew.

Daily maintenance:

The machine prompts you via the touchscreen when the grounds container, drip tray, or water tank needs attention. The LatteCrema Hot carafe runs its own cleaning cycle after each milk-based drink, and all removable milk carafe parts are dishwasher-safe for a thorough clean.

Descaling and deep cleaning:

The Coffee Link App and the onscreen display both provide timely descaling reminders based on your water hardness setting and usage frequency. Use only De'Longhi-approved descaler solution and follow the guided descaling programme shown on the 4.3-inch display for best results.

Bean and grind care:

Store opened bean bags in an airtight container away from direct light to preserve aroma. Adjust the 13-step grinder only while the machine is running and grinding, never when idle, to avoid jamming the burrs.
