Primer and Topcoat in One Tin:

Lowe Metal and Machinery Rust Paint combines the rust-inhibiting action of a primer with a tough satin topcoat, so there is no need to purchase or apply a separate primer. The first coat reacts chemically with rust to bind to the surface and arrest further corrosion, while the second coat acts as an additional moisture barrier to keep rust from returning.

Minimal Surface Preparation Required:

This paint can be applied to old or new metal with little preparation work needed - simply remove any loose or flaky material before brushing, rolling, or spraying on the first coat. It can also be applied onto damp surfaces and over most other existing paints, making it well suited to maintenance and repair jobs where stripping back to bare metal is not practical.

Versatile Coverage Across Many Surfaces:

Each litre covers approximately 10 square metres, giving a 5-litre tin an estimated coverage of up to 50m² across two coats. Beyond metal, this paint is also suitable for wood and most plastics, is flexible and microporous to prevent cracking or flaking, and is heat resistant to 80°C - making it appropriate for radiators, hot water pipes, gates, railings, garden furniture, sheds, water butts, machinery, and steel or wooden shelving.
