CarpetXpert Technology - deep cleaning from the ground up:

The Shark EX200UK uses CarpetXpert Technology to combine high-pressure spray, a high-speed brush roll and suction from a 960W motor in a single pass. Shark rates this three-action approach at 8x deeper cleaning than a regular vacuum, lifting embedded dirt, debris and stains that surface cleaning leaves behind. The 2.1L clean solution tank and 850ml dirty water tank give you a substantial working capacity before you need to stop and empty.

Built-in StainStriker for targeted spot cleaning:

The integrated StainStriker is a handheld carpet spot cleaner built directly into the machine - no separate device needed. It uses a dual-activated formula (CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula combined with StainStriker OXY Multiplier Formula) to deliver 20x more stain-removal power, with no pre-treatment required. Switch to handheld mode via a single switch on the permanently attached hose, and tackle stains on upholstery, stairs, and soft furnishings as well as carpets. The StainStriker also has its own 0.5L fluid compartment for handheld use.

Three specialist handheld tools for the jobs that matter:

The EX200UK comes with a Pet Stain Trapping Tool with its own fluid compartment for pet accidents, a Large Tough Stain Tool for larger areas such as stairs and sofas, and a Tough Stain Reversible Bristle Tool for multiple surface types. A crevice tool is also included for tight spots and edges. The hose is permanently attached to the machine and requires no plugging in or separate storage between uses.

Practical design for whole-room cleaning:

A 7.6m cord and 9m operating radius give you genuine room-to-room coverage without constantly moving the plug. The cleaning path is 30cm wide, covering ground efficiently on a full carpet clean. The machine runs in Deep Clean mode for a full wash, Dry Only mode to extract without adding solution, or switches to handheld mode for the StainStriker. Suitable for carpet use only; not appropriate for wool carpets.

Setup and Care

Getting started:

Fill the clean solution tank with cold or warm water (no hotter than 60°C) and add the supplied CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula according to the dosing guide. For handheld StainStriker use, fill the 0.5L StainStriker tank with water and add the StainStriker OXY Multiplier Formula. The hose is permanently attached, so the machine is ready to switch between modes straight away.

Changing modes:

Use the single mode switch to move between Deep Clean, Dry Only and Handheld operation. In Deep Clean mode, cleaning solution is dosed automatically - no manual measuring is needed during the clean. Use Dry Only mode for a final extraction pass to help reduce dry time after a full clean.

Emptying and rinsing:

Empty the dirty water tank after each use and rinse it thoroughly with clean water before storage. Rinse the clean solution tank if any cleaning formula remains. Allow all tanks to air-dry fully before reassembling the machine.

Filter and brush roll care:

Remove and rinse the foam filter regularly under cold running water, and allow it to dry completely before reinserting - at least 24 hours is recommended. Run the hose-cleaning tool through the hose periodically to keep the internal pathway clear. Check the brush roll for trapped fibres or debris after each use and remove any build-up by hand.
