The Deco E4 3-Pack uses Deco Mesh Technology to create a single unified Wi-Fi network across your home. Each Deco unit has two 10/100 Mbps WAN/LAN ports, so you can connect a wired device directly to any Deco unit or use an Ethernet cable between units for a wired backhaul. Note that the 100 Mbps port speed is the practical ceiling for wired throughput per unit.

The free Deco app (iOS 9.0 or later, Android 4.4 or later) guides you through setup step by step, with no networking knowledge required. Setup and Care

Getting started:

Download the free Deco app on iOS 9.0 or later, or Android 4.4 or later, before powering on the units. The app walks you through connecting the primary Deco unit to your broadband router and then adding the remaining two units one at a time. Most setups are complete within 15 minutes.

Placement for best coverage:

Position each Deco unit in a central, open location on a shelf or worktop - avoid enclosing them in cupboards or behind large appliances. Spreading the three units across different floors or at opposite ends of a large floor significantly improves coverage compared to clustering them together.

Wired backhaul option:

If you have Ethernet cabling between floors or rooms, connect the Deco units via the LAN ports for a more stable backhaul link. This is optional - the system works wirelessly out of the box - but a wired backhaul can improve throughput between units in larger properties.

Keeping the units clean:

Wipe the outer casing with a dry or lightly dampened cloth only. Keep the ventilation areas on the base of each unit clear to allow airflow and prevent heat build-up during extended use.
